This little collection will consist of several Trad Jazz genre arrangements of public domain tunes. They will all be arranged for NOLA Trio (Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba) and will include a basic arrangement with chord symbols.
In creating these NOLA Trios, I will be exploring and writing parts in the trad jazz format: trumpet covers melody and sometimes accompaniment, trombone covers accompaniment, harmony and sometimes melody, tuba covers bass and chord structure and occasionally melody. In general, the written parts will be very individualized, however,the chord symbols in each part will allow for players to ad lib to as desired. These written out parts are meant to serve only as a base for each piece, especially for beginning players. Generally, these NOLA Trios will be of moderate difficulty.
