First – Rip It – Short, quick, exciting and reminiscient of the crazy brass acrobatics of modern drum corps. Rip It is enticing!
Slow – On the Rocks – A slow, bittersweet melody flows up from the cold deep under a crisp night sky. A duet emerges from beneath a glassy sea and dances upon rocks on the shore.
Last – Yo Tango – Sultry, energetic and red, the euphonium and tuba engage in duet of the Tango. Between the ‘Yo Tango’ statements, the piece is melodic and flowing with fancy ornamentation in both parts.
